FAQ's Regarding Sleep Programs

Are these courses accredited/approved?

Yes, we are a STAR provider for BRPT. Both the Focused 2 Training Program and the Sleep Self Study programs are approved by the BRPT and we are an A-STEP provider for AASM. These courses are required to challenge the CPSGT and RPSGT credentialing exams.

What do I need to be successful in this course?

  • Styrofoam head
  • 2 dry eraser markers
  • Flexible measuring tape
  • Computer (Laptop or desktop)
  • Strong internet connection
  • Time (fifteen to twenty hours per week)
  • Commitment and dedication

What is the difference between the Sleep Self Study Program and Focused 2 Training?

The Sleep Self Study program is designed for learners who have the foundational knowledge of sleep and have some experience in the sleep lab. It is an online course comprising of 18 modules that are self-directed. The content within the Focused 2 program includes fundamentals of sleep, is more detailed and directed at people who have minimal knowledge of sleep.

If taking both courses, which course should be done first?

The Sleep Self Study Program can be completed before or after the Focused 2 training. We recommend that the participants complete their Focused 2 first and then complete the self-study program as a review before they write their BRPT exam.

After completing these courses, when should the CPSGT or RPSGT credentialing exam be challenged?

We recommend that participants challenge the credentialing exam within two weeks of completing the courses to set themselves up for success.

Can I still access the content to study for the credentialing exam, after I’ve finished the course?

The content can be accessed on the learning management system for 6 months from the date of registration for the course.

What happens if I fail the quizzes or the final exam within the course?

You have two attempts to successfully complete each of the assessments within the courses.
